Snow Pool Rules:
The snow pool is a fun and challenging opportunity for both the students
and faculty to take part in weather prediction. If you choose to take
part in the snow pool here is what you must do:
- Make one pick for each category:
(a) The first snowfall of the season
(b) The greatest amount of snowfall in a single 24-hour period
(c) The total amount of snowfall for the entire season.
Each pick costs $1, and the winner will receive half the total money
submitted. It is almost exactly like a 50/50 raffle. You are asked to
make a prediction that is a whole number, or to the nearest tenth. For
example: John Doe predicts that the greatest snowfall for a 24-hour
period is going to be 13.3 inches, and the total snowfall for the year
will be 56.0 inches.
* If you make a pick, but do not submit any money then it will not be
counted in the end. Please make sure to submit the money so your picks
are valid!
