Exposure Assessment Option
Description
Students in the Program have access to state-of-the-art laboratory equipment for biological analysis, chemical analysis and mathematical modeling, which is an integral part of the program. These facilities permit measurement and prediction of how, when, where, and why exposures from the environment occurs, enter an individual, and are dispersed throughout the body. Computer models are also used to predict how contaminants are distributed throughout large populations. These capabilities lead to studies that provide a scientific basis for making public health decisions. |
