Environmental Sciences Seminar Abstract Phosphorus in NJ
Atmospheric Deposition Network (NJADN) Precipitation
A determination of the chemical loading of total phosphorus via wet deposition
has been performed as part of the New Jersey Atmospheric Deposition Network (NJADN).
Precipitation samples were collected in 1999-2000, using automated wet-only
precipitation collectors at four sites in New Jersey, each representing a
different land-use regime. The data were analyzed to determine the total
phosphorus volume-weighted mean concentrations and the wet deposition fluxes on
both seasonal and annual timescales. the Center's "Water" Science and Technical
Program Area (STPA) project provided for a portion of this study. The project's
results as well as the results of the completed study will be presented. Date: Monday, Nov 4, 2002 Directions: If you need direction, parking
permits and /or parking information for this seminar, please request it when you
