Seminar Abstract
USEPA Quality Systems Requirements and Resources
EPA uses its Quality System to manage the quality of its environmental data collection, generation, and use. The primary goal of the Quality System is to ensure that our environmental data are of sufficient quantity and quality to support the data's intended use. Under the EPA Quality System, EPA organizations develop and implement supporting quality systems. Similar specifications may also apply to contractors, grantees, and other recipients of financial assistance from EPA. Data generated by or submitted to EPA may have to meet one of several quality systems. EPA requirements and resources for Quality Systems and Quality Assurance will be described. The EPA Quality System and Good Laboratory Practice Standards regulations will be discussed. The recent activities of the EPA Forum on Environmental Measurements will be presented. ISO 17025 based standards such as the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program will be described. Sources of information and resources will be provided. Print page
