Research Interests

Dr. Huang's research focuses on physicochemical processes in both engineered and natural environmental systems. His current research interests include: 1) sorption and sequestration of organic pollutants on soils and sediments, 2) abiotic transformation of pesticides in the presence of minerals, 3) separation and chemical transformation of estrogenic chemicals in typical water treatment processes, and 4) characterization of soil/sediment-associated humic acids, kerogen and black carbon.
